What are the definitions of the different types of jobs?

At nswnorthcoastjobs.com.au we use four main definitions to classify jobs. These definitions are Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Temporary, and Contract.

  • A Full-time role advertised on NSW North Coast Jobs satisfies the appropriate award or workplace agreement/instrument definition of a full time role. This usually includes a set number of hours per week, annual leave, personal leave and other leave elements which are outlined in the award or workplace agreement/instrument.
  • A Part-time role advertised on NSW North Coast Jobs satisfies the appropriate award or workplace agreement/instrument definition of a part time role. This usually includes a set number of hours per week which are less than a Full Time role, but still include similar leave entitlements prorated due to less hours.
  • A Casual or Temporary role advertised on NSW North Coast Jobs satisfies the appropriate award or workplace agreement/instrument definition of a temporary or casual role.
  • A Contract role advertised on NSW North Coast Jobs usually is an agreement between the Employer and the Contractor and lies outside of an award or workplace agreement/instrument
